Coloretto

The game of Coloretto is simple : You either draw a card to play on a row, or you take a row of cards to add to your collection. A row can contain no more than three cards, so at some point, everyone is forced to take a row . Once all the rows have been claimed, players begin a new round, drawing or taking cards again. What are you trying to do with these cards? Collect huge runs —but only in three colors, because each color beyond the third will cost you points. Jokers are highly prized because they always match what you want, and +2 cards give you sure points, providing a backup plan if things go wrong with the colors you collect. Once there are only a few cards left in the draw pile, the round ends, and everyone counts their score , choosing three colors of cards to achieve a positive score, while all other colors count against you. Each suit is evaluated using a triangular scoring system: the first card of a suit is worth ±1 point, the second card is worth ±2 points, and so on. The player with the highest score wins!
